A hippy happy unique experience for my whole family. The staff couldn't be nicer. We were just passing through, but this will be a regular stop!
Great time tonight at “yappy hour” where the dogs run free in the back patio. All the dogs were very well behaved and had a great time. Food was okay, slightly overpriced in our opinion for the quality, but worth it to come for an app or two and have some drinks. My husband enjoyed the beer selection- says it’s “very very good.”
The owner? was giving out the dogs treats and saying hi to everyone which was a nice touch. Overall, a really pleasant way to spend an evening for any dog parent.
Have tried to bring my monkey in numerous times... which is a registered service animal, even offered to put him inside of a completely enclosed bubble backpack and was still denied. Under ADA law, I cannot legally be denied entry because it's not equivalent to an ESA which is only covered under the housing act.
Kind of odd considering they allow dogs / personal pets that are not registered or trained for PTSD or other services. Have asked to talk to the owner numerous times and was denied by the bouncers.. I am beginning to think it's a sort of discrimination, I get that people would be more drawn to the monkey and maybe that is why they won't allow entry which is upsetting but I don't seek attention from people and typically avoid questions or even interacting with people in public while I have the animal. I keep things short and sweet in hopes they go away. Would even sit as far away from people as possible to not draw attention and have friends bring me drinks instead of going into a 'crowd' while they order..
But overall it's a good atmosphere, have not tried their food... would recommend going but as a retired Naval Special Warfare enlistee, I would greatly appreciate if the owner would talk to me personally and find a resolution for my service animal to be allowed entry to the establishment even if it's under stipulations / guidelines that he would feel comfortable with.
Fun summer and fall bar. Great place to watch a game and they have a huge draft list. Recommend the Mango Cart.
We were a little nervous going to Jake's because we knew all the dogs were going to be there. It took our dog a few minutes to get used to being able to walk around with all the food around, but he loved it. The manager it owner was walking around the whole time making sure there weren't any fights (not that he had to worry). The food was excellent and their rippers (deep fried hot dogs) were amazing! As for us, it took some getting used to telling someone else's dog not too jump on the picnink table, but it was worth every bit.
We LOVE Jake's for Yappy Hour! We took our boy for his 4th birthday and it was a huge hit! We will always take Mork to Jake's for a great doggy play time!
Really great place. Great backyard area where dogs can run & play.
Cute spot to hang out, have some drinks and be able to let your pupper roam free and play.
